I think that technolgy cause more harm than good.
ReplyDeleteThe pace of our lifestyle is very fast these days. We need to get things done quickly and efficiently in order to accomplish as many things as possible each day. And thankfully technology helps us to do a number of things, from banking to shopping. For example, we use ATMs to withdraw and deposit money and check our balance today. Not only do they save time from queuing in the bank, but also these machines are accessible 24 hours a day. We can also purchase things online from concert tickets to clothing Again shopping over the Internet is not only convenient, saving time from traveling to the actual store, but purchasing things at any time we wish is possible.
While technology helps make our lives easier, it can also exert a negative influence on both an individual’s health and the family relationship. For example, as far as radiation of cell phone is concerned, scientific evidence has shown that radiation that a working mobile phone produces has the potential to cause brain cancer. Apart from the health problems, the increased dependence of technical facilities would pose a threat to keep a close family relationship. For instance, high technology brings us more interesting things which can easily attract people’s attention, such as watching TV, surfing the Internet or playing video games. As a result, people are submersed in these activities, totally neglecting the feeling of their family members.
On balance, it is reasonable to conclude that although technology brings some benefits, the negative influences it has produced should not be overlooked because the downsides far exceed the merit.
Technology not only gives the inventors the fame and pride, what is more important is it changes the way we live our life. It makes people's life easier because we can do things we would not be able to without technology. However, for me it is more like a two side coin, if technology goes too far, it could bring us even more bad impact.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, High Technology is barely something we cannot live without. For example, I don't believe that with all the technology we have today, people are living a happier life than it is back to the stone age. It some times makes life too easy that it becomes less meaningful because the relative effort spent of trying to achive something is no longer as much.
secondly, technology has also distant human society apart. To understand the reason, one must look a bit deeper than how it looks like. In very old times, when people spend months on travelling, maybe just to see a relative or a friend. It is nowadays easily replaced by the easiness to travel around with better and better transportation. Similarly, internet has also in some way replaced what was used to be the way people connect with each other.For example, people are not writing letters anymore, they would rather send an improper email or just leave a message on some social network.
Again, technology does indeed changed the way we live, but it would only be constructive to our society if we are not being over reliant on it. Sadly, Humans have a babit of cecoming addictive.

ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt that technology plays a significant role for our life. People cannot live without technology. The first important thing is that technology helps us to communicate with each other easily. For example, we can talk with our parents or friends by phone and see them by web-camera. Business men can hold a meeting on the Internet as well. No matter where you are and when it is, you can chart with anybody easily. What is more, technology also makes our life become more and more convenient. Such as most of the people like shopping online and the transports are getting better and better. Shopping online has not time limit and you can compare the products without walking for a long time. In addition, technology makes the information has not limitations on time and locations. People can know the news immediately by Internet or television. They can share their opinions and discuss the news by many different ways. There are lots of advantages from the technology.
Coins have two sides, maybe there are some disadvantages. Parts of the factories pollute the environment. It is not only harmful to human being but also do harm to animals and plants. And people will spent few time with their parents because they have more fun with doing the other things. Such as playing computer games, watch a movie and so on…
Even technology brings some bad things to us, but we still need it. Try to imaging, if you live without a bus, a cell phone or a computer, your life will become black and white. If human want to become stronger then we need technology. Obviously, technology cause more good than harm.
I agree with David’s second opinion. Some people should not devote more time and energy to their technical lifestyle instead of a regular family dinner or a friend gathering. In my observation, the increased dependence of technology can impact negatively our ability as individuals to socialize with other people. For instance, as more and more services become automated, people could become socially withdrawn and eventually forget how to read body language. As a result, this could easily lead to miscommunication and arguments.

ReplyDeleteFirstly, I do agree David and Mamie that technology indeed changed the way human’s live. People all do things with technology. However, it does not mean that people cannot live without it. The final aim for human to invent high technologic things is make the world more convenient. Most of the high technologic products were built for people doing things more conveniently. For instance, computers were built by the scientists for figuring the number more quickly at first. After that, computers were found that they could help the people work more effectively. As a result, they are used in offices, in daily life. Therefore my point in here is that technologies were invented for a good reason.
On the contrary, as David said, technology is like a two side coin. Nevertheless, it is not because of the high technology, it is only because of the human. If the people use it correctly, it is helpful for human; otherwise, it will be the nightmare for human. For example, the computers are used by scientists for recording the result of observation. Oppositely, it will be totally different if they are used by hackers or children. The former are using for committing crime, the later will play computer games on it that will make children just want to stay at one place. To sum up, Technology cause good or harm depends on the human being. Not only the computers, it is also other high technology, not to mention the nuclear energy.
In my opinion, there is no right or wrong in high technology. I believe that technology will improve our live in the future as it is only used in a correct way.
technology is man made to ease his life and improve the working pace of life in 24 hours by creating gadgets that help to communicate and solve prblems.

ReplyDeleteI’m agree with Mamie and David, because today, we can’t imagine ourselves without technology such as cars, cell phones, computers, and televisions. However, as technology develops, there are not only advantages, but disadvantages from them.
ReplyDeleteA few advantages of technology are that one can save time and money and life will be made easier as a result of not having to do all the hard labor. In contrast, the disadvantages of upgraded technology are that people will lose their jobs to machines that will do the work for them. Technological progress is something we can’t avoid in this life, because it will run in accordance with the progress of science. We will more quickly find the information accurate and up to date on any part of the earth via the Internet. We also can communicate with friends, and family far away just by a computer. Technology also improves the lives of those who have less opportunities and access to education and it contributes to the development of poor regions in the world. On the other hand, there are some disadvantages. For example, we depend so much on technology that if the computer fails we can’t work at all.
In conclusion, I think technology can affect us in a positive and negative way same time. The only thing that can help is self control. For example, limit the time that we use with computer or playing videogames.
I agreed the sentence of Philip mention: advantage or disadvantage of using high technology depends on the people how to use. But sometime we can’t really choose one side since everyone have their own viewpoint.
ReplyDeleteHere are the some advantages to technology: Communication - We can easily to contact with your parents when you overseas. Globalization - IT serves not only bring the world together also the different cultures and economic systems around world are becoming connected and similar to each other. Effectiveness –Information technology also helps people to find useful data quickly from internet. Moreover, shopping online is also convenient to us very much.
On other hand, some disadvantages of technology include: Privacy – Human-powered search or utilize some private messages or photos from your cell phone and so on. Entertainment – new type of games (PS3, NDSL and PSP) can waste amount of time which you can spent doing something more constructive.
In conclusion, I believe development of technology can improve the human life in the right direction.
In my opinion the technology has both advantages and disadvantages. And I agree as Philip says; it depends on how to use.
ReplyDeleteObviously, convenience is the biggest advantage of the technology, technology products around us everywhere in modern life. For instance, if someone going to be abroad, from eastern to western, by the aircraft would be save much time and have a comfortable journey at the same time. Then boost the globalization that conductive to exchange. Apart from these, technology makes the daily life easier; you can know what is happening that has a long distance from where are you by the internet.
Of course, everything has two sides. The technology also has the bad impact. For example it was increasing rapidly that promotes furious activities of the terrorists’ organization. The terrorists use weapons attack people, do some discourage activities of the peace. Victims are usually the innocent person. This must be endangering the human’s life. So it seems like that the high technology has become the killer who did harm to people’s normal life.
To sum up, people’s life should not without technology; the advantage development has become the symbol of human’s process. Technology has also the good and bad impact. Develop the it right way is essential.

ReplyDeletei would not challenge the fact that people are communicating with another mostly use mobile phone, the Internet and so on. It is fast and effective.People can even see what's going on at the other end. perhaps some people think the traditional method of commuicating with relatives and friends will all disappear completely.however, i dont think so, letter is just a special method of commuticating. now people also keep this way commuticating with their friends, they collect all the letters from their friends, all those good news, bad ones, all that they had experienced and wanted to share with their friends were there!what a wonderful thing. but we must acknowledge technology cause more benefit to our daily life, we cant stay away from technology, we need computer to study and work, mamufactures need high-tech machines to produce goods, need transports to transport goods. if we dont use those, we cant eat the fresh fruits which growth in other places. through technology maybe cause peolpe lose their jobs, we cant abandon technological development.
It is obviously, technology has radically changed our life, however, whether this change is a blessing or a curse we haven’t seen an unanimous answer. Some people say, technology causes more harm than good, while many others can not agree this point of view. As far as I am concern, I would also agree with the view of Philips’. “Technology is no harm or good. It depends on the people how to use.”
ReplyDeleteAs Charlotte, Philip and Wei said, technology has made our lives easier and made the world more convenient. However, people should not over optimistic, they should alert the harms that technology may create when they are enjoying the benefits.
On the other hand, as Mamie, David and Alina said, technology causes more harm than good. Contrarily, people should not over pessimistic. People should believe the capability of our human beings, when we see back over the history.
In my opinion, technology is just like a tool, which people can use it to improve the quality of their lives. When they use this tool, they should think about how to control it. It’s just like water, fire, electricity and so on, which people use them everyday, they can bring people comfortable lives, but in the meantime, they also can cause various disasters. If people do not know how to control them, it will inevitably cause disasters. So when people use technology, they should think about how to control it, otherwise they do not know what the result it will carry to their lives.

ReplyDeleteI'm totally agree with assertion in which says about two sides of coin. Technology is one of the important sides of our 21 century. One the one hand, everyone knows about good sides of technology. People can not live without mobile phones, computers, mp3 players and etc, it can help us connect with whole world.
One the other hand, technology has huge impact for human's health. Why nobody think about children? They use computers, play computer games, watch TV from babyhood, thats why most of them has bad vision, also children might have psychological problems, because of scary games, movies and etc. Furthermore, radiation can be painfull in general for individual's health.
However, no matter how much can be impact of technology, all the people will use it. In addition, in the future technology will develop more and more.

It is true that Technology makes human's life more comfortable and without some inventions like automoblie, internet and other high-tech inventions human society can not be developed as nowadays. But Technology causes many negative side effects. First, humans can make tremendous bombs like nuclear weapons that are producs of development of technology and always threaten to destroy the society. Second, more energy like electricity, oil and charcoal have to be spended to use most of high-tech devices. At the result, humans confront serious problem that is called 'deficiency of resources'. Third, development of Bio technology enables humans to trahsform their genes. So, most of countries make and run strong regulations for prohibiting those research such as stem cell research. There are other many side effects like negative nano materials, climate change and radiation exposure of atomic generator.

ReplyDeleteIn my point of view, I think technology brings more advantages than disadvantages. I can’t imagine how can we live without technology. Nowadays, we almost do everything by using technology products.
ReplyDeleteMost people think technology would make people ignoring others. But I disagree with that. Crossly, I do think technology can carry the relations to a new stage. Sometimes, we have some feelings are too shy to speak out face to face. For example, after we growing up and up, we are hardly to say “I love you” to our parents or sometimes hard to apologize. At this moment, we can use texting message to express the embarrassing words. Another example, we study overseas and far away from home. It is essential that we have to use the phone or internet to contact with our family and friends.
We should not blaming technology disrupt people’s relationship but to ponder that did we have proper use of technology. Just like Philip said, it depends on how you use it. We have to control ourselves and control the technology but not control by the technology. Technology is a great tool for us to keep contact with others. But at the same time, we can’t forget that the key element to keep the relationship is using our heart.
Every thing has two coins, the technology also has advantages and disadvantages.but it just on how you understand it.
ReplyDeleteThe development of technology makes our life more comfortable and convenient.Such as the telecommunication shortens the distance between people and makes communication much easier. However, technology have created many problems, which are not easy to be resolved, such as air pollution, the deterioration of environment and the scarcity of natural resources, to which we must some solutions.
In my opinion, we should correct view of the technology.

In today's society everything practically need the technology such as the most simple thing eating,living,traveling.However at the beginning of built the new technology always waste much development founding and personal high-tech ability. The same the environment is directly impacted so we need to improve the technology more environmentally friendly not to stop the development wiht the technology.

Althoug the development of technology impact the environment，but people can not deny that the merit of technology is more than the drawback of it.Basicly，most of the disadvantages of tech can control by human.The usage of fossil fuel is a good case of my idea. The use of fossil fuel brings seriously negative effect to survival circumstance of human，but it also improve the development of world and life of people.Futher，to control the negative impact of fossil fuel is not to difficult for people，such as reducing the private usage，standardizing the way of useage.....
